20 years have passed since the moment that we started working in the managing software development. We started persuing a dream and an aim: to create an instrument which is in the position to support our customers, helping them growing, following their evolution through the assistance of administrative, managing and productive activities assistance.

This tool should present some peculiar features: “flexible” from a technological point of view, “adaptable” to the firm changes and, the last but not the least, “ours”, not depending on multinational technologies or the IT fashion.

We think we can share with you all some aspects of our experience, the changes we have been assisting and the difficulties we have passed through:

a) During the last years, the increasingly heated IT market competition has lead to a unification of offers, to the disappearance of many companies, and to the sensation that ERP softwares (Enterprise Resource Planning) are a commodity, easily interchangeble.

b) The problem of the IT cost: talking about the Managing software, many Italian firms think that it is a high unsought expenditure, lived as an external obbligation. The pression on the cost becomes even more stronger ( reinvigorating the situation pointed out in the previous topic).

c) The logic of personalization sets against the “As is” package: in front of this crossroads several operators opted for the “industrial” way: the consecutive repetition of funcionalities has lead to “closed” software solutions with high customization costs. According to such way of operating, peculiarities of the Italian SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) are not taken in consideration: in a difficult local and international context Flexibility and Adaptability are the unique competitive possibility.

“IT DOESN’T SUIT TO ME / IT’S NOT FOR ME”

d) The cultural problem of a great number of Italian companies, tied to the above mentioned difficulties. A further uncertainty exists in numerous firms: to transform the business disponibility of managing tools in real instruments for the control and management of the firm. This logical and organizational transformation needs the definition of a series of measures through which productivity, the rapidity in observing an economic event have to become the real goal of the introduction of informatic and managing tools.

“I DON’T UNDERSTAND”

e) The difficulty in innovating. Unfortunately, Italy has lost a lot of opportunities appeared during the last decades: starting from elettronics, the driving force of informatics, the TLCs (telecomunications) revolution, reaching Internet, the phenomenon of unifying confluece.

Only a little bunch of national operators can have its say in the global context: we often assist to a sort of technological colonization, whose aims and standards are to be accepted tout-court, without any possibility of discussion or condivision.

“ITALIAN?”

Although this situation, we have continued to think positive, to analyse matters of fact exposed not as a threat but as an opportunity for growth: for this reason we have decided to undertake a new course and we hope that it could be successful for our customers and for us. We want to catch the deep transformation in progress in order to adapt our service offer, accepting the provocation of emergent new models.

Consequently, we have faced in a radical way critics and suggestions came from the market: our first offer will be addressed to MSEs (Micro and Small Enterprises), offering them a totally free complete set of functions, adjustable in case of more elaborated commercial offers or just for those who want to grow with us.

Today Jenuary the 1st 2008, we (Sinapsi s.r.l.’s men and women) declare the independence from

blinds, the freedom of choice for us and for our customers.

We truly believe in the born of a user community with the aim of professional and economic growth of our companies, in order to make our country a better place to live and operate thanks to our little contribution. Lastly, we consider the respect of the privacy rights as the most important of our goals, so that never and ever your data and profiles, all the information presents in our servers will not be offered to somebody or used in fraudulent way for the interest of a third party.
